The Days of future Past of Diamete is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by Alexander the Great with an even hand, and renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 9.08 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The tiny, pro-business government is mainly concerned with Healthcare, although Law & Order and Commerce are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Alexandria. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 11%. A small private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

Crooks and people with too many kids are being kicked out of the country, Polytheism has been named as Diamete's national religion, Diamete has designated Alexandria as its capital city, and Alexander the Great has just been declared ruler of Diamete in an international press conference. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a major problem, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Diamete's national animal is the Cat, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Polytheism, and its currency is the sovereign.
