The United Desuman Empire of Des Omega is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by Zarc Omega with an even hand, and notable for its devotion to social welfare. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 2.028 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Social Equality and Social Welfare are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Omega City. The average income tax rate is 50%, and even higher for the wealthy. A large private sector is dominated by the Woodchip Exports industry.

People are now classified as male, female, or genderqueer, citizens must pay to enjoy Des Omega's pristine beaches, it is illegal to make racist remarks in public, and a punitive tax has been placed on harmful emissions. Crime is totally unknown. Des Omega's national animal is the Omega Dragon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Imperii.
