Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 9.054 billion are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

The small, corrupt, moralistic government concentrates mainly on Education, although Defence and Law & Order are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Zwergburg. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Uranium Mining industry.

Iluvatar has been named as Der Teutoniker's national religion, parents must choose their children's names from a government-mandated master list, Brokkr Hammerschmidt has just been declared ruler of Der Teutoniker in an international press conference, and criminals are thrown to the Richters to repay their debt to society. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Der Teutoniker's national animal is the Richter, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Iluvatar, and its currency is the Eisen Kron.
