The United Federation of Demirysis is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Chief Councilor Aaron Coolridge with an even hand, and notable for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 7.536 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt, pro-business individuals juggles the competing demands of Education, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Arcadia. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Woodchip Exports industries.

The country is effectively ruled by large corporations and business consultants, citizens are bombarded with advertising from their compulsory miniature radios, the streets are increasingly clogged with poverty-stricken beggars, and conductors wield diamond-encrusted batons to fit in with their freshly gilded surroundings. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Demirysis's national animal is the Demirilyn phoenix, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Christianity , and its currency is the Genesian Credit.

Demirysis is ranked 101st in The Genesis Corporation and 131,160th in the world for Largest Welfare Programs, scoring -205 on the Safety Net Mesh Density Rating.
