A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining, Automobile Manufacturing, and Book Publishing industries.

Armed police units patrol the roads late at night, conductors wield diamond-encrusted batons to fit in with their freshly gilded surroundings, the latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller, and the "Underwear of Women in Power" issue of The Not Washington Times is sold out. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a problem, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Definitely Not A Puppet's national animal is the puppet, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the dollar.
