The Empire of DEATH HOUSE is a massive, safe nation, ruled by death with an iron fist, and remarkable for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.398 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of the death beure. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 90%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Information Technology and Uranium Mining.

Space shuttles regularly launch rubbish into space, the country has unplugged its internet connection to prevent subversive content, politicians are to be found scavenging bins at night to supplement their income, and every product goes through extensive safety-testing by the government. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. DEATH HOUSE's national animal is the WOLVEREINE, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is a major religion called living, and its currency is the GUTHER.

DEATH HOUSE is ranked 3rd in The South and 1,293rd in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 10 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
