The Imperial Space Kingdom of Davislyvania is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by His Majesty The Emperor with an even hand, and renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 10.263 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 48%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Uranium Mining and Automobile Manufacturing.

Mining is the nation's most dangerous occupation, healthcare funding has been cut, government police forces protect public schools from the threat of protest, and the nation's gigantic air force is both respected and feared. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Davislyvania's national animal is the great white shark, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Fundaligionism, and its currency is the quatloo.
