The Republic of Daveyonya is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Jesus with an even hand, and notable for its prohibition of alcohol. Its compassionate, hard-working population of 3.472 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Education, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Christus. The average income tax rate is 54%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Voting is compulsory, roads are often attended by round-the-clock construction crews, motorists must pay to enter inner-cities during peak hours, and criminals are put to death while cuddling their favourite teddy bear. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Daveyonya's national animal is the Peregrine Falcon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the Christ Coin.
