The Kingdom of DacoGetae is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Decebalus with an even hand, and remarkable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed population of 2.688 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Sarmisegetuza. The average income tax rate is 87%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Gambling industry, followed by Information Technology and Arms Manufacturing.

Billions of zexs are being blown on orbital weapons development, multiple polls have christened the newly-formed Filibuster Committee as "the least efficient government bureaucracy", major cities shut down as their local sports team takes to the field every day, and a government program is underway to revitalize DacoGetae's beaches. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. DacoGetae's national animal is the wolf, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Zamolxe Perpetuum, and its currency is the zex.
