The Federation of Dacjan is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by Dacjan with an even hand, and remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 7.832 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Education, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Minas Morgul. The average income tax rate is 60%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Tourism and Information Technology.

Protesters are up in arms over new nuclear power stations, the nation has welcomed its expats back with open arms, construction of the Really Big Hadron Collider is underway, and inter-species marriages are ignored by the government. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Dacjan's national animal is the Woulf, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Science and Technology, and its currency is the Credit.

Dacjan is ranked 516th in Europe and 127,133rd in the world for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring -57 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
