The Federal Republic of Dabfia is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Johnson Geran with an even hand, and notable for its ban on automobiles. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 2.462 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Vaidegia. The average income tax rate is 90%, and even higher for the wealthy. A large private sector is dominated by the Tourism industry.

Drug distribution is tightly controlled by the government, criminals rejoice in the streets as the entire police force is sent away on a training retreat, organ donation rates are among the lowest in the region, and diplomats in Dabfia are furious at constant police surveillance. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Dabfia's national animal is the Lion, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the D-Dollar.

Dabfia is ranked 9th in The Apartment Block and 35,298th in the world for Most Income Equality, scoring 146 on the Marx-Engels Emancipation Scale.
