The Republic of Czarcozi is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by Wallace Ein with an iron fist, and notable for its devotion to social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 11.043 billion Czarcozians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Defence, although Law & Order and the Environment are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Psilocybe. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 83%. An almost nonexistent private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Newspapers may not print any negative stories about the government, ethnic minorities are often refused admission to some of the nation's best schools, a new generation of aquariumless hotels are being built under government supervision, and scenic mountain valleys are flooded with water as damming projects get underway. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Czarcozi's national animal is the black panther, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Church of Czarcozi, and its currency is the sonnos.

Czarcozi is ranked 137th in The Alliance of Dictators and 103,279th in the world for Most Cultured, scoring -5 on the Snufflebottom-Wiggendum Pentatonic Scale.
