The Christian Democratic Nation of Culture of Life is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by Gerard Majella with a fair hand, and remarkable for its hatred of cheese, national health service, and museums and concert halls. The compassionate, democratic, cheerful, devout population of 8.248 billion Culture-of-Lifers love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

The tiny, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Education, Welfare, and Social Policy. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Jerusalem. Income tax is unheard of.

The strong Culture-of-Life economy, worth 618 trillion vitas a year, is driven entirely by government activity, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector is mostly comprised of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 75,044 vitas, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Welfare funding has recently gone through the roof, the government seizes private property for the 'good of the people', the government has started a campaign to crack down on road rage and encourage alternate means of commuting, and refugees from other nations are flocking to Culture of Life's border. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Culture of Life's national animal is the dove, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Catholicism.

Culture of Life is ranked 84th in Right to Life and 115,671st in the world for Largest Automobile Manufacturing Sector, scoring -16 on the Henry Ford Productivity Index.
