The Christian Democratic Nation of Culture of Life is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by Gerard Majella with an even hand, and notable for its national health service, anti-smoking policies, and daily referendums. The compassionate, democratic, cheerful, devout population of 10.997 billion Culture-of-Lifers are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The relatively small, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Education, Welfare, and Environment. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Jerusalem. The average income tax rate is 25.5%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The all-consuming Culture-of-Life economy, worth a remarkable 1,215 trillion vitas a year, is driven almost entirely by government activity, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector is mostly comprised of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 110,567 vitas, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The 'kind of scrawny' 500 meter hurdle is a popular event, citizens are frequently searched for illegal weapons, the roads are virtually falling apart, and badminton was recently banned due to 'unacceptable violence' inherent to the game. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Culture of Life's national animal is the dove, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Catholicism.

Culture of Life is ranked 278th in the world and 1st in Right to Life for Best Weather, with 742 Meters Of Sunlight.
