The Republic of Copperplate is a gargantuan, pleasant nation, renowned for its complete lack of prisons. Its hard-working population of 12.819 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government devotes most of its attentions to Social Welfare, with areas such as Law & Order and Commerce receiving almost no funds by comparison. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 20%. A small private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

Crime is moderate, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Copperplate's national animal is the mink, and its currency is the rivet.
