The Imperial Main Province of Copenhagen Metropolis is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by The Imperial Council with an iron fist, and renowned for its compulsory military service. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 10.51 billion Copenhageners are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Defence, with areas such as the Environment and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Vega. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Conscientious objectors are hanged as traitors, gun ownership is compulsory, fancy dress parties are raided by military police for new recruits, and manual labourers must be willing to have cybernetic limbs to get a job. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Copenhagen Metropolis's national animal is the Elephant, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Krone.

Copenhagen Metropolis is ranked 162nd in Nordic Lands and 114,042nd in the world for Best Weather, with -1,565 Metres of Sunlight Above Expected.
