The Imperial Main Province of Copenhagen Metropolis is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by The Imperial Council with an iron fist, and renowned for its compulsory military service. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 10.275 billion Copenhageners are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Defence, with areas such as the Environment and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Vega. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Murder rates are on the rise as the popularity of soylent products grows, police officers have been re-kitted with designer uniforms and gold plated handcuffs, homes have been banned from having any more than one wheel, and families consisting of more than three people are forced to split up. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Copenhagen Metropolis's national animal is the Elephant, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Krone.

Copenhagen Metropolis is ranked 161st in Nordic Lands and 111,425th in the world for Most Beautiful Environments, with -3,487.5 Pounds of Wildlife less Pounds of Concrete per square mile.
