The Armed Republic of Common-enemies is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by The Omnipotent with an even hand, and remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.011 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as the Environment and Public Transport receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Nukevill. The average income tax rate is 76%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Gambling and Information Technology.

All alcohol is banned, punitive tariffs protect local industry, the country is preparing for war, and military spending recently hit a new high. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Common-enemies's national animal is the retard, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Euro.
