The Dominion of Clytemnystra is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Emperor Aphelion with an iron fist, and remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 2.964 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

The medium-sized, corrupt, pro-business government concentrates mainly on Defence, although Law & Order and Commerce are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Aeneidas. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 6%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Information Technology industries.

Children as young as twelve are conscripted into the armed forces, same-sex marriages are increasingly common, the government extracts trade concessions from poor nations in exchange for humanitarian aid, and wealthy parents-to-be can select their perfect baby. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Clytemnystra's national animal is the hawk, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is the worship and adulation of the Emperor, and its currency is the rostra.

Clytemnystra is ranked 3rd in the West Pacific and 604th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 14 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
