The Kingdom of Cleo and Topaz is a colossal, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by HM Cleo and HM Topaz with an even hand, and renowned for its keen interest in outer space. The compassionate population of 9.356 billion Topazites are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Brwoopt. The average income tax rate is 88%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The police have reaffirmed their tough stance on drugs, emergency room admissions for 'stampede injuries' have skyrocketed since the introduction of weekly Sabbath Eve sales, the Gray Cat is a protected species, and priests are being drafted by the church load. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Cleo and Topaz's national animal is the Gray Cat, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Reform Felineism, and its currency is the Fur.

Cleo and Topaz is ranked 26th in California and 117,424th in the world for Largest Furniture Restoration Industry, scoring -8 on the Spitz-Pollish Productivity Index.
