The Democratic Federation of Cielonia is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by Madhava Konchady with a fair hand, and renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 17.838 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Defence and Social Equality are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Arceline. The average income tax rate is 71%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Book Publishing industry, followed by Automobile Manufacturing and Gambling.

Recruitment posters proclaim the army to be both fabulous and fashionable, the government is avowedly atheist, droves of former desperados are applying to join the border police, and the government regularly hires contractors to construct high rise apartments. Crime is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Cielonia's national animal is the coronet falcon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the derac.

Cielonia is ranked 10th in Asia and 1,476th in the world for Most Influential, scoring 122 on the Soft Power Disbursement Rating.
