The Athletic Facilities of Chubrubs is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by Pizz with a fair hand, and remarkable for its complete lack of public education. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 6.692 billion are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt, pro-business individuals juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Defence, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of The Pavilion. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 2%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Beef-Based Agriculture and Book Publishing.

Innocent defendants often plea guilty for fear of receiving a much harsher sentence before jury, glittering new sports stadiums adorn every city and town, major cities shut down as their local sports team takes to the field every day, and the importance of winning Olympic gold medals is indoctrinated from an early age. Crime is crippling. Chubrubs's national animal is the Vedder, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Sports, and its currency is the Hour.
