The Federation of Chrobalta is a colossal, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Prime Minister Samuel Adams with a fair hand, and notable for its devotion to social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5.534 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Imperia. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 68%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Automobile Manufacturing and Gambling.

The government has declined to declare any particular religion as its 'official' one, citizens applying for their first jobs face fierce competition from the homeless, Max Barry is this year's Miss Chrobalta, and religious organizations are being forced to leave the country or pay income taxes like everybody else. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a problem, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Chrobalta's national animal is the Hawk, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Chrobaltan Credit.

Chrobalta is ranked 241st in Social Liberal Union and 76,657th in the world for Most Compassionate Citizens, scoring -16 on the Kitten Softness Rating.
