The Kingdom of Chemona is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by the Robot Overlord with an even hand, and remarkable for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its quiet, industrious population of 1.214 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Equality, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Spaghetti Town. The average income tax rate is 73%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism, Automobile Manufacturing, and Book Publishing industries.

The country has been 'going shopping' by annexing nearby nations for their resources, a large-scale revitalization of the education system is underway, most citizens in Chemona are abject pyrophobes after extremely graphic pamphlets were mailed nationwide by the government, and protests are legal but strictly supervised. Crime is totally unknown. Chemona's national animal is the wolf, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Chern.
