The Republic of Chauver is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Timur Reigus with an even hand, and renowned for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 1.715 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Tashkent. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 22%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Automobile Manufacturing.

Healthcare funding has been cut, senior citizens can usually be found doing heavy manual labour, almost all of Chauver's water is piped into the country from abroad for exorbitant prices, and the Chauver Enquirer offers weekly cash prizes for 'most blasphemous song, story, or cartoon'. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is moderate. Chauver's national animal is the vulture, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the exarch.
