The United Socialist States of Chaego is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by The Great Leader Kim Hyung-Jun with an even hand, and notable for its sprawling nuclear power plants. The compassionate population of 5.532 billion Chaegoans are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and Defence. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Hyungyang. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Prisons are crowded with possible terrorist suspects, expensive lawyers are hired to defend citizens in court for public urination charges against their pets, nobody ever seems to enter or leave the armour-plated flying castle that serves as Chaego's House of Parliament, and school uniforms are compulsory. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Chaego's national animal is the Eagle, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is The Juche Ideology, and its currency is the Won.

Chaego is ranked 108th in North Korea and 85,100th in the world for Most Extensive Civil Rights, with 40 Martin Luther King, Jr. Units.
