The United Socialist States of Chaego is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by The Great Leader Kim Hyung-Jun with an even hand, and remarkable for its national health service. The compassionate population of 5.865 billion Chaegoans are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and Defence. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Hyungyang. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Conductors wield diamond-encrusted batons to fit in with their freshly gilded surroundings, national parks have long lines of different gender-specific 'Porta-Pottys', citizens are barcoded to keep track of their movements, and political parties are banned from advertising and receiving private donations. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Chaego's national animal is the Eagle, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is The Juche Ideology, and its currency is the Won.

Chaego is ranked 130th in North Korea and 117,955th in the world for Largest Soda Pop Sector, scoring -10 on the Addison-Fukk Productivity Rating.
