Its compassionate, hard-working, cynical population of 2.447 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Social Equality and Commerce are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Edinderp. The average income tax rate is 72%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Information Technology and Book Publishing.

Citizens can be frequently spotted going about their business stark naked, the government is notorious for leaving citizens with almost nothing from their inheritance, retirement homes are often fitted with luxurious suites, and cars are banned. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a major problem, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Cevalo Nacio's national animal is the Pygmy Elephant, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Secular Humanism, and its currency is the Cevalese Bit.
