Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 991 million are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, pro-business individuals juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of CenterRight City. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Gambling, Arms Manufacturing, and Retail industries.

A National Academy regulates grammar and usage, the nanny industry has had a boom after maternity leave was recently banned, healthcare funding has been cut, and CenterRight has designated CenterRight City as its capital city. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. CenterRight's national animal is the black cat, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the randian dollar.
