The United Republic of Cantis Island is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by president MacIntyre with an even hand, and notable for its punitive income tax rates. Its compassionate population of 5.259 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Cantis Island's national animal is the mourning dove, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Anatesia, and its currency is the Kari.
