The National-Progressive Union of Canadaiana is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by Jacobo Gronaven with an even hand, and renowned for its national health service. Its compassionate, hard-working population of 5.235 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Social Welfare, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Toronian City. The average income tax rate is 98%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Tourism.

The minority inevitably have their addenda vetoed, the government violently surpresses separatist movements, the nation leads Balder in per capita stalking, and conductors wield diamond-encrusted batons to fit in with their freshly gilded surroundings. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Canadaiana's national animal is the Dolphin, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the CAD.
