The Federal Republic of Can-Americana is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Supreme Chancellor Sean with an iron fist, and notable for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 3.109 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Defence, although Healthcare and Commerce are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of The Embassy. The average income tax rate is 95%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Gambling, Automobile Manufacturing, and Soda Sales industries.

The government is notorious for leaving citizens with almost nothing from their inheritance, graffiti graces every city's streets, torture is commonly used to extract information from suspected criminals, and phone taps are frequently carried out by the police. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Can-Americana's national animal is the Silver Wolf, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is The Belief, and its currency is the Dollar.

Can-Americana is ranked 462nd in the Pacific and 16,851st in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 3 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
