The Travel Agency of Californian Tourism W is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by The Yellow Emperor and Lao Tzu with an even hand, and remarkable for its museums and concert halls. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 15.928 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of the Environment, Commerce, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Old Beijing. The average income tax rate is 53%, and even higher for the wealthy. A small private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.

The arms industry has been shut down in a surge of pacifism, the people elect the Supreme Court justices directly, museums stand half-empty as all foreign exhibits are returned to their countries of origin, and the government has cut taxes in the face of widespread tax evasion. Crime is totally unknown. Californian Tourism W's national animal is the Californian Bear, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Californian Dollar.

Californian Tourism W is ranked 57th in the West Pacific and 2,632nd in the world for Best Weather, with 130 Metres of Sunlight Above Expected.
