The Armed Republic of Caldonian Workers is a huge, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate population of 576 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Commerce. The government has started a campaign to crack down on road rage and encourage alternate means of commuting, the government is well known for declaring war on other countries for suspected slights, citizens are permitted to carry concealed handguns, and refugees from other nations are flocking to Caldonian Workers's border. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Caldonian Workers's national animal is the Bear, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Caldone.

Caldonian Workers is ranked 98th in USSR and 86,362nd in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring -3 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
