Refugees from other nations are flocking to Calanria's border, the nation has become a pariah for giving pirates letters of marque, citizens receive notices of disenfranchisement along with their parking tickets, and space shuttles regularly launch rubbish into space. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Calanria's national animal is the Platypus, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Culmin.
