A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Automobile Manufacturing and Book Publishing.

Students are wary of colorfully decorated new teachers with names like Professor Pipsqueak, the government is reining in public spending, By-and-By Island's fine wines are renowned throughout the region, and large areas of By-and-By Island are not accessible by the public. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. By-and-By Island's national animal is the ferret, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Pith.
