The Constitutional Monarchy of Britlandiana is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Captain Jack Harper with an even hand, and notable for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 2.875 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Public Transport and the Environment receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Britlandiana City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 51%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

The government has ordered a moratorium on referenda, the government snoops on private internet connections, fewer people are bathing as citizens must show ration stamps before they can turn on their faucets, and voting is voluntary. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Britlandiana's national animal is the bear, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the queendollar.
