The Confederation of Bosiu is a colossal, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Naomi Cabrera with an even hand, and renowned for its parental licensing program. The hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 8.256 billion Bosiuans have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Sakuru. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 76%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

The nation's infamous boot camp is more brutal than most battlefields, fewer people are bathing as citizens must show ration stamps before they can turn on their faucets, private law firms are unheard of, and the fire protection service is wholly government-funded. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Bosiu's national animal is the Coal Scale Wyvern, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Illick.

Bosiu is ranked 129th in Texas and 97,060th in the world for Most Authoritarian, with 0.037 Stalins.
