The Anarchic Order of BoozeCity is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by The Great Drunk with an even hand, and notable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 3.113 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded individuals juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Boozetown. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Gambling and Arms Manufacturing.

Same-sex marriages are increasingly common, the nanny industry has had a boom after maternity leave was recently banned, morning coffees are no longer the same since the disappearance of newspapers, and penurious citizens die from easily remedied ailments because they aren't 'taking enough initiative'. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling. BoozeCity's national animal is the Monkey , which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Booze buck.
