The Imperial Union of Boico is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by First Consul Lhàinor Arvêldir with an even hand, and renowned for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 12.906 billion enjoy some of the most opulent lifestyles in the region, unless they are unemployed or working-class, in which case they are variously starving to death or crippled by easily preventable diseases.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Defence, although Law & Order and Education are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Lorèañeth City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 67%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Uranium Mining industries.

Morning coffees are no longer the same since the disappearance of newspapers, internet service is too costly for normal people to purchase, biology and religious education classes have recently been merged, and the art of conversation has been rediscovered. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Boico's national animal is the Namraa, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Unitari.
