The Imperial Union of Boico is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by Prâkos Lhàinor Arvêldir with an even hand, and notable for its national health service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 13.527 billion enjoy some of the most opulent lifestyles in the region, unless they are unemployed or working-class, in which case they are variously starving to death or crippled by easily preventable diseases.

The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, liberal morass -- is mainly concerned with Defence, although Education and Healthcare are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Lorèañeth City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 25%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Uranium Mining industries.

Most of the military's funding goes into researching space-age weaponry, citizens are regularly found digging for treasure in their gardens, theoretical science is only theoretical, and Red Cross demand for body bags are rising while sutures are decreasing. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown. Boico's national animal is the Namraa, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Unitari.
