The Republic of Boggovia is a massive, genial nation, ruled by Bob Boggis with a fair hand, and renowned for its complete lack of prisons. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 2.165 billion enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although the Environment and Social Welfare are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Boggoville. The average income tax rate is 92%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Organ donation rates have hit a new low, space research funding has hit a recent high while several military bases are being closed down, all judiciary cases are decided in the court of public opinion, and retirement homes are often fitted with luxurious suites. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown. Boggovia's national animal is the Vole, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Bob.
