The Matriarchy of Boadiccea is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by Queen Booie with a fair hand, and notable for its keen interest in outer space. The compassionate, intelligent population of 7.564 billion Boadicceans enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, the Environment, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Hog Mountain. The average income tax rate is 73%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Anyone who so much as frowns is referred to a mental health unit, there has been a series of riots between local cannibals and health food advocates, the nation's first space rocket -- sponsored by Pepsi and shaped like an enormous soda bottle -- is being developed, and parents live in fear of governmental 'child protection' squads. Crime is totally unknown. Boadiccea's national animal is the Llama, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Tacitus.

Boadiccea is ranked 316th in The North Pacific and 12,433rd in the world for Most Dedicated Public Healthcare, scoring 70 on the Theresa-Nightingale Rating.
