The Confederate States of Blumaria is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by President Jake Beauregard with an even hand, and notable for its anti-smoking policies. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 4.362 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The enormous, corrupt, pro-business government devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Social Equality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Jakobsburg. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 9%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Information Technology and Uranium Mining.

Major cities shut down as their local sports team takes to the field every day, citizens are bombarded with advertising from their compulsory miniature radios, cyber-crime and tin-foil hat sales are both increasing at record rates, and fur coats have become the latest fashion trend. Crime is a serious problem. Blumaria's national animal is the Great Eagle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the Blumsmark.

Blumaria is ranked 80th in North Africa and 128,728th in the world for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring -100 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
