The Confederate States of Blumaria is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by President Jackson Bush with an even hand, and notable for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 6.231 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, corrupt, pro-business morass -- devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Social Equality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Jakobsburg. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 15%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Information Technology and Tourism.

One-stop superstores divide and conquer family businesses, Blumaria's children are widely acknowledged as the most foul-mouthed in the region, discarded pennies litter the streets, and travel bureaus double as recruiting centers for national intelligence agencies. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Blumaria's national animal is the Great Eagle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the Blumsmark.

Blumaria is ranked 7th in North Africa and 3,976th in the world for Most Politically Apathetic Citizens, with 26 Whatever.
