The Republic of Bluekaffe is a massive, genial nation, ruled by The People with a fair hand, and renowned for its punitive income tax rates. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 1.926 billion love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Equality, and the Environment. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Bluekaffe City. The average income tax rate is 99%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The government pours millions of Dollars into rehabilitation programs annually, political parties are banned from advertising and receiving private donations, bizarre-looking creatures called 'Airdogs' dominate wildlife preserves, and all recreational drugs are legal. Crime is totally unknown. Bluekaffe's national animal is the Air, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Dollar.

Bluekaffe is ranked 205th in NationStates and 100,662nd in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring -11 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
