The Chronic Republic of Blazedtown is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by Secret Squriel with an even hand, and notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 4.129 billion enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated.

The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked morass -- is mainly concerned with Defence, although Commerce and Education are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Blazedtown City. The average income tax rate is 27%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Gambling and Information Technology.

Bombs are permitted on planes for the 'security of the passengers', citizens applying for their first jobs face fierce competition from the homeless, innocent defendants often plea guilty for fear of receiving a much harsher sentence before jury, and strange looking men with big red noses are found hiding behind bushes and inside dustbins. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling. Blazedtown's national animal is the dog, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Chaos Undivided, and its currency is the dollar.

Blazedtown is ranked 12th in Greater Prussia and 66,718th in the world for Largest Public Sector, scoring 10 on the Bureaucratic Comprehensiveness Rating Scale Index.
