OverviewPeopleGovernmentEconomyTrendAnalysis

The Republic of Blau Stein is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, ruled by Ron Paul with a fair hand, and notable for its sprawling nuclear power plants. The hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 10.664 billion Blau Steinians live in a state of perpetual fear, as a complete breakdown of social order has led to the rise of order through biker gangs.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded individuals juggles the competing demands of Education, Defence, and Law & Order. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Book Publishing and Uranium Mining.

Lending firms are subject to strict government regulations, retired racing sea otters are served truffles for breakfast, citizens are remarkably well involved in the political process, and marijuana is legal in the privacy of your own home. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling. Blau Stein's national animal is the sea otter, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to heavy metals seepage into national waterways, and its currency is the Gold Dollar.

Blau Stein is ranked 47th in Capitalist Paradise and 2,672nd in the world for Rudest Citizens, with 174.5 Insults Per Minute (net).
