The Rock and Roll Place of Beto Lancaster is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Mr Pot with an iron fist, and remarkable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.893 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Defence, although Law & Order and Religion & Spirituality are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Beto Lancaster City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 43%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining, Arms Manufacturing, and Pizza Delivery industries.

Businesses are scrambling to adapt to the government's mandate that 'time and measurement no longer exist', citizens live in superstitious fear of the mysterious glowing clouds that float over Beto Lancaster, vanity is considered the fifth cardinal virtue, and graffiti artists spend lengthy periods of time in jail. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a problem. Beto Lancaster's national animal is the Chicken, and its currency is the Leafs.
