The Catholic Kingdom of Beckmanland is a massive, safe nation, ruled by King Kevin XII with an even hand, and notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-working, cynical population of 4.634 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Religion & Spirituality, although Law & Order and Defence are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Sarto. The average income tax rate is 70%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism, Arms Manufacturing, and Automobile Manufacturing industries.

The tenet of free speech is held dear, the BBI Channel Tunnel project is plagued by delays, the commercialisation of highly deadly weapons has instilled Beckmanland with a very polite populace, and Beckmanland-made cars tend to catch fire in people's driveways. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Beckmanland's national animal is the lol cat, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Roman Catholicism, and its currency is the taco.
