Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 13.624 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Education. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry, followed by Automobile Manufacturing and Book Publishing.

Nudity is frowned upon, the poor are often seen pale and dizzy after selling their blood to make ends meet, businesses that prove successful are immediately broken up, and the government is promoting multicultural values with the new 'Just Be Nice, OK?' initiative. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Bazalonia's national animal is the Bazalope, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the Baz.
