It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Fauxhan. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 94%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry, followed by Automobile Manufacturing and Book Publishing.

Businesses that prove successful are immediately broken up, the government is promoting multicultural values with the new 'Just Be Nice, OK?' initiative, the government has declared its commitment to multilateralism, and Bazalonia Barrier Island residents anxiously await their 'Bridge to Somewhere'. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Bazalonia's national animal is the Bazalope, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the Baz.

Bazalonia is ranked 7th in Atlantian Oceania and 4,179th in the world for Largest Public Sector, scoring 25 on the Bureaucratic Comprehensiveness Rating Scale Index.
