The Catholic States of Bavistan is a massive, genial nation, ruled by King John III with an even hand, and remarkable for its anti-smoking policies. Its compassionate population of 1.017 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Religion & Spirituality, Law & Order, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Bavistan City. The average income tax rate is 49%, but much higher for the wealthy. A robust private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, followed by Woodchip Exports and Tourism.

Almost half of the child population live rough on the streets, citizens are enjoying a recent large cut in taxes, major cities are suffering under water rationing, and a major religion has been named as Bavistan's national religion. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Bavistan's national animal is the Tiger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is a major religion, and its currency is the Dollar.

Bavistan is ranked 6th in The Catholic Nation Alliance and 79,989th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring -2 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
