The recent ban on computers is causing havoc throughout the nation, the people elect the Supreme Court justices directly, referenda can be called for any law at the request of at least one third of the voting population, and space research funding has hit a recent high while several military bases are being closed down. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Banoi Dos's national animal is the Infected, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Stingray Tail.
