The Capitalist Country of Bammel is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Stan with an even hand, and remarkable for its museums and concert halls. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 4.151 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Mylo. The average income tax rate is 90%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Book Publishing industry, followed by Information Technology and Tourism.

Strict term limits have been applied to all elected offices, prime real estate is devoted to wind farms and solar energy generators, heavy industry must go to expensive lengths to dispose of waste, and students are known to arrive at school in their pyjamas. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Bammel's national animal is the Eagle, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Catholic, and its currency is the Turion.
