Citizens pay a flat income tax of 2%. A large private sector is led by the Uranium Mining industry, followed by Gambling and Trout Farming.

The government is avowedly atheist, voting is voluntary, and the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit. Crime is crippling, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. AX's national animal is the eagle, and its currency is the dollar.
